A Winston-Salem Original: RiverRun International Film Festival

This spring, there is no hotter ticket in town than Winston-Salem’s own RiverRun International Film Festival. RiverRun is one of the fastest-growing regional film festivals in the United States. This Academy Award-qualifying festival showcases a wide variety of narrative, documentary, student, animated and short films from all different genres throughout 11 cinema-filled days of fun, food and celebrity sightings.

Since its founding in 1998, the RiverRun International Film Festival has grown into one of the best regional film festivals in the country. Last year’s festival brought more than 150 films from 44 countries right into downtown Winston-Salem. And there’s more than just film to love. Each year, the Festival turns Winston- Salem into a hotbed of artistic commentary, cultural exploration, haute cuisine and yes, Hollywood star- gazing. It’s hands down the best two weeks in film this city has ever seen – and you’re invited!
